Free State Bees is selling packages for early April 2012 pick-up in Waldorf. I've got 200 packages on order from Hardeman's. A 3lb package with marked Italian queen is $81 and with a marked Russian queen, it's $84. I will also be getting individual queens, $20 for marked Italian and $23 for marked Russian. To order, please send an email to freestatebees@gmail.com (that's the best way) or leave a voice mail at 301-580-9313. Be sure to include the number of packages with which type of queen and your name, address, and phone/email contact information. Payment is by check or cash before March 15th. Send to Free State Bees, 2420 Mill Hill Rd, Waldorf, MD 20603-3752. I accept PayPal with an additional fee to cover processing. Please email or call if you have any questions.
FOR SALE by Chip Whipkey-4/26/12Queen rearing began in early April - thanks to the warm weather and more so the population of those beautiful Drones. I have approximately a dozen queens that will be ready for sale / pick-up any time after 10 May. There are another 15 or so emerging this week that will be available around the end of May. The cost per queen will be ($22) with payment to occur at time of pick-up. All queens are marked unless you request otherwise in advance. I do not clip wings. If you are interested in purchasing queens, please call (240) 925-2196 or e-mail at ralphwhipkey@yahoo.com with your requests and to establish a preferred pick-up date. Confirmation of good brood pattern will be made before any queen is sold. The only mite treatments being used in my apiary is an essential oil grease patty and powdered sugar dusting.
